Frequently asked questions
Accuracy, coverage, payment, refunds and what’s in the report.
How much does a roof report cost?
Every report is a flat $15. There is no account, no subscription and no minimum. You only pay after we confirm we have aerial data for the roof.
How fast will I get my report?
Usually in under a minute after payment. The report opens on screen as soon as it is ready, with a button to download the PDF.
What is included in the report?
Total roof area and squares, predominant pitch, a pitch breakdown, a numbered map of every roof plane with its pitch and area, shingle versus low-slope area, the number of stories with the eave height, the roof perimeter for drip edge, a dimensioned outline sketch, an aerial image, and a waste table with shingle bundles, underlayment rolls and drip edge pieces.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Enter the address, confirm the building, pay and get the report. Your report lives at a private link that only you have, and you can find it again with the email you paid with and your report number.
How accurate are the measurements?
We tested Horus against 8 professional measurement reports (EagleView and GAF). The median difference in total roof area was 1.9%, and 6 of the 8 roofs came within 2.5%. The two larger misses (10–18%) were a roof partly hidden by trees and one with 11-year-old imagery — situations Horus now detects and warns you about, before you pay for imagery age and in the report for trees. Results are for quoting and material planning; verify critical dimensions on site before ordering.
What if you can’t measure my roof?
Then you are not charged. We check for aerial coverage before you pay. Coverage is strongest in cities and suburbs; some rural areas and brand-new construction are not available yet.
What if the report is wrong?
If we measured the wrong building or the report has a clear problem, contact us within 30 days and we will refund it. See our refund policy.
Does it include ridge, hip and valley lengths?
Not yet. Instant reports include the total perimeter (eaves and rakes) for drip edge. Ridge, hip and valley lengths need a level of detail we are not ready to sell as an instant result.
Can I use it for an insurance claim?
No. Horus reports are for estimating, quoting and material planning. Insurance carriers usually require their own approved vendors.
Which areas do you cover?
The United States. Before you pay, we tell you whether we have high-resolution data for that roof and when the imagery was captured.
How do I pay?
With PayPal or with a debit or credit card through PayPal’s secure checkout. You don’t need a PayPal account to pay by card.
How long can I access my report?
Your private link stays active for 30 days. Download the PDF to keep it permanently. If you lose the link, open Find my report and enter the email you paid with and your report number — it starts with HR- and appears on your PayPal receipt.
